Bay Area, CA — regional program

50+ full-time employees across Bay Area worksites

Full-time means 30+ hours/week; benefits generally cover employees working 20+ hours/week. Seasonal/temporary and field-worker exclusions apply. Registration is required.

Berkeley, CA

10+ employees

Applies to businesses based in Berkeley or with local offices/outlets; includes eligible part-time workers averaging 10+ hours/week.

Richmond, CA

10+ employees companywide

Applies to registered Richmond businesses. Covered employees average 10+ hours/week in Richmond over a 90-day period. Employees outside Richmond count toward employer size.

New Jersey — statewide

20+ employees

Applies to employers in New Jersey; not limited to full-time employees. The law includes specific collective-bargaining transition and federal-employee exceptions.

New York City

20+ full-time, non-union employees working in NYC

Full-time means 30+ hours/week averaged over four weeks, with some work in NYC. Counts across NY
