How to Create a Check Payment in Every Banking

This guide walks you through the process of creating and sending a check payment using the Every Banking platform.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Accessing the Check Payment Feature

  1. Log in to your Every Banking account

  2. Click on "Banking" from the home screen

  3. Click on "Pay Bill" in the navigation menu

Entering Recipient Information

  1. At the "Who are you paying today?" screen, enter the recipient's legal name

    • Important Point: Be sure to verify the recipient's name is entered correctly

  2. Click "Next" to proceed

Selecting Payment Method

  • On the "How would you like to pay them?" screen, select "Check" as your payment method

    • Note that checks generally take 7-10 business days to reach the recipient

  • Click "Next" to continue

Entering Recipient Details

  • Enter the complete recipient address information:

    • Street address

    • Apartment/suite number (if applicable)

    • City

    • State (select from dropdown)

    • ZIP code

  • Click "Next" to proceed

Upload an Invoice

  • Upload an invoice document using the "Select file" button or by dragging and dropping a file

    • Important Note: This invoice will not be sent along with the check

    • The invoice is stored for bookkeeping purposes only

Adding Payment Details

  • Enter the amount you wish to send

  • Add any specific recipient details as needed

Adding a Memo

  • In the "Memo for Recipient" field, provide relevant information about the payment

    • This could include an invoice number for validation purposes

    • Note: The payment description is required

Accounting Options

  • When asked "Would you like to create a bill in your accounting software?":

    • If you are a Founder, select "Founder"

    • Otherwise, select "Accountant"

  • Complete any additional accounting details:

    • QBO Vendor

    • Payment purpose

    • Purchase category (e.g., Sales & Marketing)

    • Number of approvers needed

Finalizing the Payment

  1. Review all entered information

  2. Click "Next" to create your check payment
